ZOLO was born and raised in California with roots from Afghanistan and the soul of a nomad. She is a bohemian who has traveled extensively over the last twelve years, immersing herself in different cultures and being inspired by sounds from around the world. The music she is drawn to is a reflection of her taste and experiences.

Through her sets, ZOLO takes you on a journey, circumnavigating the globe. Her style is an eclectic blend of world music with deep, organic, tribal and spiritual house rhythms.

ZOLO has shared her music with dance floors in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Tulum, Turkey and festivals such as Burning Man and Lightning in a Bottle.

Whilst globetrotting, ZOLO has perfected the art of traveling with only a carry-on luggage and backpack. Whether getting around by plane, train, RV, bus or boat, there’s a certain freedom gained by packing on the lighter side. Not to mention how relieved you’ll be knowing that an airline can’t lose or delay your luggage.

Through over a decade of experience, ZOLO has learned what’s crucial to bring and what she can do without. She now geeks out over multi-use and eco conscious gear, and tricks/tips of the frequent traveler. She has proudly and successfully roamed the world for months at a time through different climates in stealth mode with a carry-on.
